Austrian-American-Chinese TCM Home in CDUTCM
On April 14th, 2006, a unique, romantic and harmonious party was held in the University Conference Room, sponsored by Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) and co-hosted by Translators Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TATCM) It is specially for strengthening friendship between Austria, Americans, and Chinese students and teachers. The chief participants were the Vice -President Yu Shuguang, the vice-head of Postgraduate, Dr. Peng Yuhua, Chair of TATCM ,prof. Huang Qingxian etc and the overseas students from Austria ,US and Norway; and the members of TATCM.
Vice-President Yu Shuguang, extended his warm welcome to all the participants, and spoke highly of what the TATCM has done since its founding last December. TATCM as the first formal TCM translation organization, it is characterized by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has provided a platform for developing TCM, undertaking the spreading traditional Chinese culture, and strengthening the academic communication between both domesticly and internationally.The representatives of overseas students have expressed their deep thanks and love for the University because of good care covering their study ,and living here. There was other several activities, such as the donation for the 50th Founding Anniversary of CDUTCM from Dr. Schwestka who is the Dean of Austria College of TCM, the birthday celebrating for 4 American students, and other wonderful performances.The party was vaulted to the peak by the Austrian¡¯s melody Waltz and self-created California Taiji Dancing.
The deepening of the friendship between CDUTCM and foreign friends in the party will bring far-reaching influence on the worldwide communication and cooperation. |
